Stephanie Meyer made "diferent" vampires, and thats what makes it so special! She did not used the ordinary vampire rules... And that was really cool because she was able to create a vampire that most people would like to be as. 

People say "Oh, I would like to be a vampire like Edward" because they are not eating people, or sucking their blood, they dont burn when they show themselves in the sun....
that was kinda cool from Stephanie Meyer.
